I have a Odessea PS 75 protein skimmer that work really well with the addition of an air pump hook up to the air line going to the pump. My question is that the venturi hole get plugged up once a week. So once a week I have to take it out and reamed the hole out to open it back up. I was wondering if I could drill out the hole to say no more then 1/16" and still get the same result and fine bubbles? Or will it mess it up and produce bigger bubbles and less results. It is a needle wheel pump and the needle wheel look like the Coralife skimmer pump. Don't want to ruin this skimmer,it does one heck of a job skimming.
