mine picks at the glass along with the sand and rocks and all, but it doesnt do much for my glass.. my magfloat is the only difference maker for my glass

Agreed. Mine rarely munches on the bac/alg on the glass + when it happens you're left with toothy kiss marks.

They will pick at the glass at best. They will focus more on the rockwork and other areas in the tank it can find food.

Hmmm, mine has cleaned my back glass and he keeps it clean. He also eats off the rocks and sand.

Mine would eat algae off the glass and off the rocks. He didn't eat a ton and I still need to use the mag float.

Mine likes to eat the algae that grows at the water line; sounds like he's spitting water out of the tank. :) He generally doesn't touch the viewable glass area.

No fish and no snail will actually CLEAN the glass as a razor can. They just keep it leopard spotted.

Mine "kisses" the glass -- leaving marks, so I wouldn't plan on one keeping your glass completely free of algae -- the marks makes the algae more noticeable.
