how do u guys scrape the coralline off the front of your display that grows below the sand level? or is this something only happening in my tank?

happens to everyone, can't safely (scratching) with a magnetic cleaner, I always use a small handheld scraper to get it. Tom Aquatics has a cheap one that I use, little red plastic things:

I have them, too. I just leave those alone. But then again, I only have a 2" sandbed, so only an 1" shows above the plastic trim.

I have a plastic fish tank cleaning stick with a metal attachment that is fantastic for scraping algae down there. Check out Petco.
