Does anyone have a really good site to order livestock? Aquacon looks like a good one, but I know a site could be made to look great and not much else. Our LFS is over an hour away. A lot of time and gas to go up there, but they do have some nice stuff.

Thanks.

Run screaming from Aquacon, if you need to know more just do a search on here ;). There are threads on here dating back since before I even registered and they all pretty much share the same trait - they're negative.

There are many great places to order from though. To get a wide range of places to start click the sponsor button up at the top of the page. :)

I have great success with liveaquaria and they guarantee all stock for 14 days and yes I have called them due to corals dying and they immediately refunded my money with no questions asked

liveaquaria is very reputable and their Diver's Den (wyswyg) section is very good. consider shipping costs when you purchase online, it may be worth the gas to go to the lfs. Most sites do however, have a price point at which they will ship for free.

If your LFS is a good one, keep going there and forget about on-line ordering. The $20 in gas you spend on a round trip will be no different then the $20-$50 in overnight shipping and fee's associated with on-line ordering. The is also much to be said about developing a good relationship with a LFS owner, that relationship can be worth it's weight in gold....or fish/coral for that matter.

Yes, but unfortunately much of their information is wrong. Think Aqua CON

I've been doing business with Drs. Foster & Smith/ Live Aquaria/Divers Den (all the same folks) since they were a 3 Vet office in Northern Wisconsin (164 miles from Lambeau Field, home of the World Champion, yes again, Green Bay Packers). They are very simply the best folks to deal with that I've ever encountered in any business.
