help with getting a new skimmer

i am leaning toward a super reef octo 3000 int. the only thing i dont like is how shallow they have to be run in sump. the other skimmer i was considering was the SWC Xtreme 180 Cone Protein Skimmer and it can be run alittle deeper in sump. does anyone have experience with these skimmers or one the would recommend. the skimmer will be on a 180.

Don't rule out due to having to run shallow. You can always build a small stand to put the skimmer on.

yeah thats where i am at now i have the sro 2000 on my current tank and will be upgrading to a larger tank. the sro is so close to the top of the inside of my stand.
with the upgrade i am building my stand so i can allways account for that to a point.
