you know i have never been much of a wrasse fan...i think the cleaner and mystery are the main ones i do like. But from what i have read they usually dont get along with with each other ....meaning wrasses in general

Bangaii cardinals do not do well in groups.....Only one pair per tank

I'd suggest anthias as well, they are the most common fish you see on some reefs, shoals and shoals of them cover the reef. It's also cool to see a couple males interacting with large shoals of females.

This is personal opinion, but if it was me building the tank and I had the equipment to keep the water clean enough, I'd shoot for about one female anthias per 10 gallons and 1 male per 100 gallons. As far as species goes, I'd get lyretail anthias, Pseudanthias squamipinnis. They are very hardy as far as anthias are concerned, plus from my experience they are easy to train onto eating pellets which means you can put in an auto feeder and keep them fed with lots of small meals per day.

You would end up with 1 or two pairs from 30

is it a harem they form then? 1 male and multiple females? They do form a harem, but don't swim together.
