My DIY LED fixture worked very well for about month. Today I found out one XPE bulb dead and and one XPG is nearly dark for no reason. Those two are in the middle of the string, The other bulbs work fine. I used battery test those two still not work.

Can you explain how the LEDs are set-up? What sized heatsink are they on, is it in an enclosed canopy, are there fans, etc? If the fixture wasn't moved my initial thoughts are that it could be heat related.

I am using Drilled and Tapped 4.25" x 23" Heat Sink for 24 LEDs. 12 bulbs in a string. XPG string is driven by ELN-60-48D at 800ma, XPE string is driven by LPC-35. Also have very good fans on it. The heat sink is cool/warm to touch even after hours run.

The others LED bulbs on strings are working. Only two bulbs in the middle of each string died.
Is possible those two Led bulbs quality problem? One XPG is not full died, it's nearly dark.

I will send back dead LEDs back to Rapid to find out what will be the problem. But now I j don't have time to remove the dead bulbs from the fixture. Others bulbs still work very well.
