I do like the blackcap basslet and she has shown interest in it as well. Would it get along with my current fish?

Lubbocks vary so much. I have one and he's blue and pink and yellow but when he flashes he's neon pink with a dark blue stripe.

My black cap basslets got along fine with the angels, anthias, clowns and fairy wrasses. I didn't have a jawfish (or a moorish idol). The purple color is stunning.

Kris,
I had a blackcap basslet years ago in my home aquarium. Peaceful and more active than royal gramma IME. Very good looking fish. I did not have a lot of tankmates: probably 5 fish in a 125. But he was always cruising his area and not territorial.

Just make sure the tank is covered! They're notorious jumpers.

I feel that way about all fish personally. But I have posted that on several occasions. But yes tilefish are very prone to jumping

I have a Helfrichi Firefish (in my avatar) I love it. Hid out for about a week and now it's out all the time. Its head also glows under the actinics which is also pretty sweet!

Here's mine:

I second the Fridmani (Orchid) dottyback, plus you can get tank raised ones

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

I thought dottybacks were too aggressive for a peaceful tank?

I don't want any kind of aggression with having a Moorish Idol. I just had to remove 2 of my Anthias because they were too aggressive during feeding.

The fridmani's are usually good community fish

Or more lyretail anthias and the male will turn a redish pink with cool spots on his pectoral fins.

Not going that route again. I ordered 3 Lyretails from Divers Den, 2 female one male. Well after about 3 months one of the females changed to male, not a fun scenario. She became the Devil and both males removed. Male Lyretails are a bit too aggressive, even if it is only one. Now male lyretails would probably be ok with most tanks but I am taking extra caution now that I have a Idol. They get most aggressive during feeding and I have to make sure the Idol is eating ok, which it does. Just erring on the side of caution.

I have an CB fridmani. Got it for my daughter who loves purple and pink.
So mellow - expected worse.
The one fish my non-fish friends consistently hone on on!

In a peaceful tank, grammas can get mean (both royal and blackcap, I've had both.)

My mystery wrasse was a model citizen. He didn't bother any other fish.

Disclaimer... he was huge, and he ate shrimp and snails like bon bons. But fish, never bothered anyone. Not even my masuda hogfish.
