skimmer question

Hi so i recently put my asm g4x skimmer into service in a seperate sump with a small pump supplying approx 85-90 gph to it, my skimmate has only been a light greenish color and i have 6 fish in my tank at the moment, is this because because my bioload is light or is it because i do not have enough water going into the sump?

no question is dumb however I think it may be the lack of water just my 2% on my 75 I only had about 8 fish but tons of coral and I always have deep green skimmate
