return pump recommendation for 4x2x2 ft tank ?

My exact same tank has a Mag 9.5 (950 gph) on it, but I bought it used and the previous owner said it worked great (his tank looked good when it was running). I think many people would suggest slightly larger like a Mag 12 (1200 gph). People also like he ehiem 1262's which puts out like 900 gph max.

In short a pump rated from 900 to 1200 gph, then several powerheads, or a closed loop.

I like to run an Eheim 1260. The slow flow through the sump gives it a chance to do its job. I create the flow in my DT with 2 MP40s.
