Got one on the way. I have a 30g sump...not a breeder. What is the operating height in the sump? and are you happy with it?

So what do you think of the skimmer? Was thinking of getting one of these. Thanks WienerDog.

Great!! But, I am new to saltwater. So.my judgement may be of na value. I am trying to get used to it reacting to everything that happens in the tank. Whether I am dosing or rearranging rock....it goes crazt. It DOES work very well in collecting scum!!

How much water are you running it in? I have a Reef Octopus XS-200 I am trying to figure out.

well the octopus skimmers with the bubble blaster pump need to be in less water then the nwb skimmer likke around 5.5 inches. The nwb skimmer which you have needs to be in about 6-10 inches of water.

Ok, thanks. My skimmer is in about 8"-8.5" of water and only produced foam once, briefly. Probably because I have all dry rock and no bio-load yet.

Mine did the same...it will produce for you as the rock matures.
