I do not have experience with this particular ATO. I've always personally recommended the JBJ ATO. Its pricier than the one you linked but I love it.

what you have linked is the top off control for the liter meter system, so it is not a complete unit. They make good pumps but that is only the float switch portion.

The Tunze Osmolator is pretty expensive, but it's probably one of the best out there as an ATO unit. It has two different type of sensors: an optical eye, and a float switch to provide additional fail-safes. Whichever ATO you get, I'd recommend putting it on a timer as an additional fail-safe.

I recently started researching and it looks like the Tunze if it is in your budget, and JBJ is a good second.
An area of ATO I have not looked at much is DIY. Does anyone know if you can get components and build an ATO that is of good quality?

I'm using the system by Aquahub. It is inexpensive, reliable and works great. Just FYI.
