hey guys I wanna set up a tank for the living room.. unlike my reef this is going to be a low cost tank just to house a few fish.. its a 46g with a 55g sump in the basement

list:
two clowns
flame angel or lemon peel angel
royal gramma
one or two fire fish

thats it...

I don't want to spend money on live rock...

I already have the tank light sand and a wetdry filter..

Anyone out there keep a smiliar set up.. with just a wet dry?

Just a wet dry is fine for FO tanks (even though I prefer live rock but that's a different argument right Stuart?). The base rock or decorations you use in the Display Tank will eventually populate with all the bacteria but none of the microfauna that comes with real live rock. You using bioballs in your wet dry?

I would use base rock and just add one live rock from your reef to provide a microfauna source.
