How much water do these really move? I have a 92 corner with 1 mp40w and i'm thinking of either getting another one or a mp10. But I'm afraid the 10, even on its highest setting, will just get overpowered by the 40 and not provide the supplemental flow I'm looking for. I want it to basically hit the flow of the 40 and have it be powerful enough to break it up ad move it around the tank instead of just going straight into the other side of the tank and hitting the glass. What size of tank are people using these with. I'v seen the youtube video of it making a wave on a 75 so it seems pretty strong to me. If it helps the pumps will be on the 2 sides almost right in the middle.

Not sure of how it would perform on the corner tank but My MP10 rocks my small 39 at 75%. I have an MP20 at the opposite side and it pushes just as much in my opinion. It's just not as broad of a flow.

My MP20 is at 100% on pulse mode and the 10 gives a great random current when running with the 20.

This may be better answered by the larger tank owners but I figured I would chime in anyways!

Happy Reefing!

if you have 2 then you can sync. them so they work in tandem to create more random flow as opposed to just 2 pushing against each other. I recently bought a second and upgraded the first to wireless so they "communicate" and the difference is remarkable.

I have to keep my single MP10 at 70% (short pulse), above 70 and my stand starts to move along with my 50 gallon!

On my 90g (48") tank I have vortech mp40w and vortech mp10w sync.. and works just fine.. mp40w runs about 50% of power.. and mp10w 100%. Saved me lots of money of buying another mp40w. Two 40's would be way to much for my barebottom tank.

Thank you all for your help, grabbit it looks like you have the closest setup to mine although my tank is a corner and I have sand. Looks like I''l be getting an mp10.
