Im wondering if there is any hardy corals out there that help to absorb nitrates?

Think Xenia will help clean your water but if your not careful they will overrun your tank as well. Some people even use them in their sumps.

Xenia and clams use nitrates up. Beyond that you are going to need algae/seaweed/mangroves.

I have a volleyball size colony in my 90. Helps keep my nitrate at 0, even after no water changes for the last 6 months. I don't run a fuge of any kind, just GFO and a large skimmer. It's not too hard to keep in check. Just pluck some off the rocks every 2 weeks at the base with a pair of stainless tweezers, it will come right off. Doing it by hand will rip it, if you can grab a hold of it.

No, kenya tree is a different coral. It is far worse about spreading as well. It will grow quite large and then one day, BAM! It starts dropping branches all over the place and you get the crap popping up everywhere in between rocks you can't get to.
