VHO internal reflectors, are they enough?

I have an open top canopy and am looking to possibly add two VHO bulbs.

will the internal reflectors be enough to keep the light from lighting up my ceiling?

IME, you will still have light spillage through the internal reflectors on to the ceiling, and the surface of the water will also cause some reflection too.
