Here is my dilemma I currently have a 50 gal rimless which I believe is currently over stocked (therefore the reason for the question). I bought a used larger tank which unfortunately come with some livestock (Hawkfish 2", and a mated pair of clowns both between 1" to 2 1/2"). My question is can I place the newly acquired livestock temporarily in my 50 gallon while I make the necessary changes to my new 120 gal?

Current livestock list of my 50 gal:
Tailspot Blenny - 1"
Two clown fish - both 1" to 1 1/2"
Tribal blenny - 1 1/2"
2 Anthias - 1 1/2"
Yellow coris wrasse - 2"
4 Chromis all under an 1"

Will this be ok or am I setting myself up for all out WAR in my tank? Also how about bio-load I am thinking this would be about a 2 week temporary stay.

There will definitely be problems with the two pairs of clowns. Even in the larger tank you'll only be able to keep one pair of clowns.

So no chance of this working for two weeks?

not with the clowns more than likely.. do a small water change on your tank and setup a 10-20g temp tank for the clowns..
