Mj1200 is only 22?ish gph flat so it's the minimum I'd use

I run about 400ml of BRS biopellets in a TLF reactor and use a MJ 1200. I find that it is actually a perfect marriage, I couldn't ask for better. ALL of the pellets are constantly in motion, not too fast, not too slow. I did have to slightly mod the reactor, but it was nothing irreversible.

The Mod:
If you have the sponge filters, remove them. They will become saturated with bacterial mulm and clog up for you, not allowing water through. I went to the craft store and bought some plastic (not cloth)canvas used for needle point (that's probably the wrong term, but I think you know what I am getting at). They had it in red, so I figured I would get that to match my reactor, although it doesn't matter what color you get. I cut it to size, laid it on top of the stock "grate" and ziptied it with 4 ties on the outside. The holes were much larger than those of the sponge, but small enough to not allow the biopellets through. The sheet cost me about fifty cents, and I had enough material to do the mod on about twelve reactors, if I wanted to. All in all it is extremely economical, quick, and easy.
