Hi, I just filled my 50g fowlr, i used 40lbs live sand, 40lbs dry rock. I am going for 10lbs of fresh local live rock Saturday. My sump is wet/dry, but I haven't started my skimmier yet. Should I?
Thanks!

Although you're gonna do a FOWLR, I still would eliminate the wet/dry due to nitrate issues in the future. Anyways, I would start the skimmer during the cycling process.

x2 on converting the wet-dry to a small live rock chamber. bits of broken coral, etc, will cycle right along with your tank and become a living filter.
