I am going to be setting up a small satellite refugium and will be using a tank I have at home which measures 15" x 10" x 10" high. It already has a small light but it is one of those impossible to find chinese size bulbs that cost $30 and seem to last less than a year. Anyhow, looking at led option on ebay. What do you think of this for refugium lighting. Spectrum is 6500 and from what I have read this is what is needed for cheato and live rock. http://cgi.ebay.com/110V-LED-Grow-Light-Lamp-135mm-Diamter-Bright-WHITE-DIY-/250533776601?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a54fa0cd9#ht_3113wt_1141 next one I saw was this but I think it would be overkill and I am also worried about the heat dissipation on a single 10watt led. If not done properly it wont last very long. Thoughts ? http://cgi.ebay.com/10-Watt-LED-Waterpoof-Fresh-Water-Aquarium-Grow-Light-/200584782708?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb3c8e374#ht_3705wt_1002

Cheato does not need a high out put light to grow. I just went to Wal-mart and got a cheap shop light, The one that come with the "clip any where" spring. Then i just got a $8 dollar bulb "the twisted type" my cheato is growing just fine. Hope this helps and saves you some money.

That first light is not high power by any means. Maybe 7 watts and comparable to a 40 watt incandescent. At $24 delivered it's not expensive either. I want something that looks a little better than a clip on spiral florescent but thanks for mentioning it.

not a problem just tring to save you some cash, $24 bucks is not bad at all.
