I just got my first frogspawn plug. The color isn't amazing.... like a lot of the pics I've seen here... I'm wondering if the color will improve as it grows? Maybe it wasn't in ideal conditions at the lfs and will brighten up?

Got any tips or pointers? Feeding? Placement? FLow? Thanks for the help.

I used to think some of my corals were drab looking until I got new light bulbs. I have a nice Frogspawn (see pic below) and I feed each head a bit of frozen food once or twice a week. It is in medium flow and near the bottom of the tank. I think this coral is quite forgiving and will thrive in various conditions.

What type of lighting do you have it under? I would keep it in moderate flow

I don't spot feed mine regularly, but once in a while I will place a small piece of scallop on it.....Mine have grown quite a bit....I haev one under T5's and one under MH/T5's

I have a T5HO 4x fixture. It has some green undertones, but right now it mostly looks a sort of tannish color. I'm pretty happy with it though. I got the plug for 15 bucks which I thought was a fair price.

Beautiful picture, thank you for sharing. :D

So what you are saying is you think the lighting makes the look better? Or that their colors improved under new lighting?

A better selection of bulbs intensified the colors in all my corals. I was too cheap not to use the bulbs that came with the fixture, but new bulbs make everything look better.
