I just have an idea I'm kind of working on. I'm about to build my 10g thats 20x10x12 (12 inches tall), and I have an AquaC Remora for it. I really dont want to have the powerhead just hanging in the tank, so I thought about adding on an in-tank overflow with 2 chambers "thing". I may not explain this very well, I'm kind of new. But here goes.....
I was thinking that in one corner I'd add an overflow thats like 11-11.5 inches tall, with some grooves in the top to keep fish out. Then on the side panel, it would be 12" tall, but the bottom would be about 1" or so off the bottom of the tank. This would flow into a second chamber which would also be 12" tall, with no openings to the tank, but it would house the pump for the skimmer. This would attach to the back of the tank, and the water would come out the skimmer. From above, i guess the whole set up would look like a backwards "F".
Alright well I'm really hoping I explained that in a way it made sense. I also know I didn't exactly account for flow, or being able to keep that chamber with the pump full.... So I need some advice. Is this possible or is there another way to hide the pump? Thanks!
