Well here is what many of you have been asking for. We received multiple requests for real photos of the touch.

So your wishes have been met ;)

THE FIRST TO MARKET AQUARIUM CONTROLLER PROGRAMMABLE TOUCH SCREEN

(the wavy look to the screen is camera flash back)

I feel that the ProfiLux Touch alone goes a long way to show the world what GHL are capable of for the future.

WOW, Looks kind of 1990s. With the Ipad's sleek looks, this looks a bit last decade. Kind of like those large shoe-box size cell phones.

I can't say I agree. The quality of the screen looks nice. It may look bulky but go look at the screen on other controllers and tell me this one looks outdated.... The other screens output looks like the output of those same phones you were talking about. lol

I haven't been following this closely: has a price been released?

Hey guys..don't hate on me. I am simply giving my first reaction feedback, like in a focus group... Isn't that the whole point of this type of forum is to gain feedback from loyal customers like me???

Take the info, work with it. Don't always be so defensive.

;) no defense, sorry just not sure what to do with the feedback as globally it has been received without one critique, hence my statement we can not please everyone, please do not think that is negative towards you.

Of course we always appreciate everyones feedback equally.

Any chance you can share a few more shots Michael? Also will a recess box be available for mounting the display? Saw the gooseneck and suface mounts but didnt see a recess box so it could be flush mounted into a wall or stand.

Thanks

Mike

No flush mount yet.

Is the touch screen compatible with both the II & III systems? Or does it only work with III

The touch is only compatible with the P3 via a PAB cable.

Cool thanks for the response. The excuses to upgrade my II just keep piling up. :)

Ipad would do the same thing would it not?

No ProfiLux has over 8000 controllable variables there is only so much data you can push through an onboard webserver.

I'll probably buy it for the screen alone, but outside of that the housing and that front facia look like something that could have been pulled directly from a Apple II parts bin.

No worries though, I think I can rig something up so that only the screen is visible, and all the 80's vibe is hidden.

I really wish i grew up in the same 80's you did ;)

There are only so many ways you can skin a cat, of course something shiny stainless could have been done but then the cost would have to be put into that.

Off now to listen to my Fergal Sharky tape

Oh that's right, you're in Canada.......:lol2:

Sorry, I couldn't resist the given opportunity...:blown:

Or just leave it plastic, and get the shape, color, texture, and general overall look up to the times.

Hey, maybe you guys could use this photo in the marketing somehow.

I suppose if you throw on a mullet wig, red skinny leather tie, and toss in some Duran Duran, it would just blend right in with the profilux touch...:D

It's fun to rewind sometimes.
