Does anyone know of an LFS that carries chillers around the Providence, RI area? I'm going on vaca on friday, and my chiller crapped out today. Lucky or unlucky? Not sure. But I've called LFS from CT to NJ and no one carries chillers.
I need a 1/3 hp. Anyone? I'd buy a used on too...so pass the message along.

If you can not find one . Run some fans across the water surface or shorten your photoperiod till you get back!

If absolutely necessary and you don't mind the added expense, you can always just order one online and have it sent priority mail (or 2nd day air). That'd get it there before you leave Friday.

I go to a LFS called Something Fishy in Northeast PA. I know they have chiller and they are the best saltwater fish store in a 100 mile radius from me. Here's there website www.toofishy.com check them out and give them a call. Great pricing in all of their equipment too.

Thanks all...after I gathered my thoughts. Found that the pump feeding the chiller had seized. Fixed the pump, but couldn't get water throught the chiller. Inspected the chiller only to find a giant ice cube. After 20 min with a hair dryer...I started the pump and tested the chiller. It lowered the tank temp 4 degress in 3 minutes. I have a 210 reef, with a 55 gal refugium. Seems like everything is fixed.
During my panic I ordered a new chiller to be shipped overnight. It will be delivered first thing Thurdday morning, and I leave Friday at noon. I think I'm going to hang on to the new chiller just in case I discover a crack or leak on my old chiller in the next 2 days.
Anyone have experience using a chiller after it had been frozen? If there are no leaks, and it seems to be working...am I good to go? Or is there something internally that could break that I can't see.
BTW...ordered a replacement pump too. That I'm definitely going to replace.
Thanks all!
