I think I am going to try some Par 38 bulbs over my FOWLR (not really concerned about par), which ones seem to be preferred of the list below? Anyone have any experiences? Thanks!

I have Rapids and Boosts.

The Rapids(12K) are much brighter to the eye and have a true 12K look.

The Boosts(12K) are more 14-20K to the eye, but does give good asthetics.

Over the 2 I would go with the Rapids for coral tanks, particularly larger/deeper tanks. For your application the Boosts would work just fine.

I have no experience with the Nanotuners, but they do have a good reputation.

I can't say enough about how good Nanotuners is as a company. I have the Nanotuners 20k Par38. I really like it, and it has come in useful in a pinch over my 9g Nanowave. Nanotuners was the first to come out with the Par38 bulb I think, because Evil is the one who came up with the concept if I remember correctly.

I have no experience with the Rapid or Boost Par38s, so I can't really review them.

Since you are going FOWLR, whichever product you go with, I would get fairly wide optics so the light will diffuse better. How big is your tank? How many are you looking to get?

Hope this helps,
Landon
