Foam then Bubbles

My protein skimmer has been producing some good foam but then after a topoff of saltwater, the foam went down really low and then produces bubbles. Any ideas? oh and I topoff with saltwater because my salinity is a bit on the low side.

It is because you made an abrupt change in water level. Give it about an hour or 2 it will go back to producing good foam.

Thanks, I'll wait another few hours and tell you the results. Is it okay if I changed the air going through the skimmer? Will it still produce the foam I had before?
