im trying to order my led kit for a 33 gallon long that im going to be making into a reef tank.the dimensions for those of you that arent familiar with this tank are 48"Lx12"Wx12"D.i was leaning on making 2 12 led pendants for a total of 24 leds.will that be enough to support a tank this small in gallons but big foot print.please let me know what you think as i want to try and order my kit this week.also where is a good place to order heat sink.thanks

Wow, another 33 long reefer lol. I have the same exact tank and just finished building my led fixture this weekend. I went with a 36 ultra premium dimmable kit from rapidled along with his controller and its plenty of lighting. What I did was get two 16 inch heatsinks and put 18 on each. I customized it a little from what's on rapids website and he was cool with that. I ended up doing two rows of 9 on each heatsink since its such a shallow\skinny tank. I took some pictures of my build but haven't had a chance to upload them yet.

The way I laid out the leds where like this on each heat sink.
RBxCWxRBxNWxRBxCWxRBxNWxRB
CWxRBxNWxRBxCWxRBxNWxRBxCW

I decided to add the NW since I have heard alot of people complain that there isn't enough red in the CW. Btw, I didn't use any optics and the blues are XP-E, whites are XP-G.

Cool. Thanks so much and please let me know when you get the pics up. I'd love to see the lighting on the tank plus your build
