I was cleaning/scraping some of my Texas Trash Palys off my starboard and inadvertantley cut my finger. It happenned Monday night and I'm still walking so either it is not a very toxic Paly, or all the Rum I drink is killing the other poison. At least that's what I tell my wife.

Here is a pic as of tonight. It is better than it was this morning. Treating with Neosporin all day today.

Ouch! I bet it takes about a week and a half before it's better. I had something like that with a lot of pain, took a while to heel.

Not sure if you know Pedro, but i picked up some things from him last year when he took down his tank. He told me one time he was fragging some zoas on a rock and didn't realize there were some palys on the underside of the rock. He squeezed them on accident and some stuff got in his eye. He said the doctors had absolutely no clue what kind of poison it was and by the time he was done, they had drained 3 large bags of fluid out of his swollen eye. He said after that he fragged with full length gloves and a full face shield from then on and kept a print out sheet of palytoxin info to give to the doctor if it ever happened again. scary stuff.

Mark , That doesn't look pretty . Glad you are doing better .

I can't drink Rum , so I guess I would have to die .

Jeeze Mark, those things can be nasty. I wonder why people don't seem to be affected much by the acros?

I'm assuming you are talking about the palys. I'm not sure how well a frag of Mark would grow :spin2:
