I am about to start a RB treatment so I am going to shut my carbon reactor down for about 10 to 12 hours. After the treatment, I want to start carbon again. Should I replace the carbon after 12 hours of no circulation? Or can I continue to use the current batch (which is less than 2 weeks old)?

i always say that it never hurts to refresh GAC.

but for your question it should be ok after the 12 hours. i would definatly replace it after you filter out the treatment

As long as you drain the water out of the carbon, it'll likely be as good as ever after 12 hours, although I'd probably change the carbon if I wanted to be sure that something got removed from the water.

how old is the carbon ? it does get full very quickly if there is something that is in your water that its removing so if its a few weeks old i would simply replace it after the dosing .

I will change the carbon out just in case. The carbon is ROX .8 btw.
