Mentor

I was wondering if any old timers (no disrespect, full of knowledge) would like to be a mentor to me as I would like to find a couple of trusted sources to turn to. PM back and forth or if you lived close to me. I will join the local east tn. reef club when time and already visit my LFS as another source of knowledge. After a year of research, reading on here and asking questions, I am getting close to ordering my LR and start my cycle. I just read a thread about letting sand set for 10 days in ro/di with 100% water changes daily prior to putting in tank to reduce po4 and HA, never read that before. Show me what a tuned or dialed in skimmer looks like, little things like that. Only thing is you will have to tell me how to PM as i've never done that here.

Find someone in your local reef club that has a tank similar to what you want. They'll be the best mentor for you.
