So, I made it to my tank's first birthday with very little drama or problems. I made changes at about 8 months to the tank. Sold all the large colonies and bought a whack of frags and changes the scape a little. I am still now tweaking things, but thought I should share on the birthday of the tank. Once things grow in a little bit more, I will do a better quality video.

The videos are crap, but they are all I have and pics just don't give the same effect, so here you go. The tank is a 125 gallon starphyre peninsula, so there is a video for each side. FYI, all the frags are no more than 4 months old and were all very small, just to give you an idea of the crazy growth I get in my tank

Enjoy!

awesome, just simply awesome! I hope to grow up and be just like you! :lol2:
how does the yellow tang get along with other tank mates? I hear they can be bullies.

Thanks. He has a great disposition. Actually, it's the Blue Tang that seems to stir up trouble, but he is cool, too. I have never had an ich break out or any health issues with any of the fish.:celeb1:

I SOOO want to put an angel in the tank, but not with all the zoas and LPS. I know lots of people say they have had success, but I'm not risking all that money in corals for an angel.:fish2:

Gosh you've done a nice job. Corals all look so healthy. Fish are plump and happy. Love the coralline covered rock, just a really nice tank!

Nice tank! I wouldn`t add fish- just sit back and watch it grow.

OK, this could take a while. :)

Equipment consists of 5 X 2 X 20" 3 side viewable ductom starphyre peninsula tank with closed loop and coast to coast overflow. 55 gal custom acrylic sump. Red dragon pumps 6.5 for return and 8.2 for closed loop. MP20 for additional flow w/ battery backup, Bubble King 200 skimmer, UV, GFO/GAC, refugium with chaeto/live rock, Tek 8 bulb 54 W T5 light, Reefkeeper Lite Plus controller, Profilux 3 pump doser fro Ca, Alk and Mg, GHL 4 fan Propellor breeze, ATO connected to my RO/DI and Bio Pellets in a TLF 150 reactor and an empty wallet:eek2:.

@Syrinx, the only fish I intend to put in the tank is a Mandarin. No others. (I'm not allowed, my wife says so:furious:) It's not worth risking the health of the fish for another fish. i need to give them room to grow anyways.

It's funny. I feel like I JUST set up the tank. After selling all the large colonies and getting all the frags, it just seems so young to me. I guess before I know it, I'll be fighting to keep the corals from taking over each other:uzi:
