rinsing sand

ok i got some sand and rock from marco rocks i know you are supposed to rinse the sand but i have alot of sand to go through and ive only rinsed a small amount of sand and im going through alot of ro water so what im wondering is it nesseray to rinse the sand i know it will cloudy up my tank but im just starting it up so i really dont care as long as it clears up...it seems like the sand is real fine so i dont know if the rinse water would ever clear up...also is there anything special i need to do with the rock before it gos into the tank besides a good rince? thanks

I read on their website that their sand should definitely be rinsed. I wouldn't use RO water though, as that can be costly and wasteful. Use regular tap, then let it dry in the sun before you place into the tank. I haven't worked with Marco's fine Bahama aragonite sand yet, though, so I'm not sure what the grain size is.
