I am planning on putting a hose on the skimmer cup drain with a valve to empty the skimmate to a bucket occasionally. Does anybody know what size hose and valve I need? I will need a 90 degree elbow for sure and valve. I am going to lowes for the parts. I could have sworn they are 1/2" plumbing. Anybody know for sure? I appreciate it.

I have the SRO cone 5000-INT and have some 3/8" plastic tubing that goes from the cup to a hole in the ground under the house for continuous draining.

I have a 2" long piece of ~3/8" silicone flex hose on the outlet of the cup that fits snug and a 1/4" piece of poly hose that goes between the 3/8" plastic and silicone to allow me to separate them.

I had a 1/4" valve at one time but it was getting gunked up alot, so I removed it.

Let us know what you come up with.

Wow, so the hose is 3/8" not 1/2". I am currently at lowes plumbing section. Thanks!

I got the following parts based on the premise that the skimmer cup drain tube is 3/8" outer diameter and 1/4" inner diameter.

flex hose 1/2" outer d and 3/8" inner diameter to connect to the cup. I will zip tie this.

PVC hose 3/8" outer diameter to connect to the flex hose.

PVC 3/8" valve to connect to the PVC 3/8" od hose.

I wish they had a 3/8" elbow but I guess this would work.
