If I'm trying to light a 14"x14"x12" nano tank with 1 evil par38 LED what should I get?

I'm thinking 20k, but what is your guys input? Why would you go 12k? Why 20k?

Should I get 40* optics and hang it 6" above the aquarium so that the light stays off the glass so algae doesnt get intense lighting to grow with?

Or maybe 60* optics at 8" above the aquarium to completely fill the tank with light?

What would you do and why?

Well I would do a Little bit of reading... http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1746535&highlight=par38+spotlights

And I would do is use a a 12k bulb and supplement it with blue stunner strips, but it really comes down to personal preference.
