View Full Version : Heater died during cycle...

...and the tank temp is 69.1 degrees in my 75g tank. I have a piece of raw shrimp in there, and have been dosing MB7 for bacterial diversity (all dry rock). I had already ordered another 300w heater for backup (different brand), and it should be here soon. Will this low temp negatively affect my cycle?

the cycle will still happen, but will take longer. bacteria is more active in warmer temps. set it to 80 if possible, it will speed things up.
