I got a sand sifting goby yesterday and it sure is doing its job. My only complaint is the sandstorms that it is creating in my aquarium. I have not had a sandsifter in my sandbed before this. On the positive side, it has made quick work out of all of the algae that was on the sandbed and has returned it to almost perfect condition. Will the sandstorms stop? The goby can only get so deep, will the sand get used to it and will everything calm down after a while?

I have had a Diamond watchmen Goby that did the same thing but I have a heavier grain of sand so I didnt have to worry about it but with my new FijiPink sand and YWG/Pistol Shrimp, they are destroying my tank. Sandstorms and stirring up nutrient rich sand, they will be gone shortly. Avoid the headache and remove em while you get the chance.
