So I've had these little guys for awhile now and I don't see them doing any harm to the fish or corals. But I have a TON of them all over when i start looking around at night. Are they something to be concerned or worried about?

I did some reasearch and they look like Sphaeromatids, but i'm not sure. Could they be Cirolanid?

I heard wrasses eat them, but is there one particular kind?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I agree with your Sphaeromatids ID. The tail appendages are pretty pronounced and there are no visible eyes that I can see. However, the pics are blurry, have you tried catching one(easier said than done) to get a clear macro shot?

yea it was taken with my iphone. If i can grab one one of these nights, i'll take a better pic.

From what i've read they're harmless, but I'd really like to keep their population under control. Are there any methods besides medicating my tank?

I would just leave them alone. They are performing a necessary function, but if you are determined, a fairy wrasse would probably do some reasonable damage and make for a good citizen.
