Got a Brute trash can, should I rinse it out with some type of cleaning solution?

I've always used storage containers from restaurant supply stores because they are usually labeled "food contact safe."

I picked up a Brute this time, do they have factory residues on them?

Vinegar might be a good rinse. I use lots of brute cans and did nothing besides tap water rinsing. Hot tap water might be a good idea. Soap (without antimicrobials) might also be a fine plan, but then use lots of rinsing water.

I rinse with tap water, never an issue.
