I just added my first clam to my tank yesterday. This morning I noticed one of the small starfish on the clam's shell. Do these pose a risk to the clam?

Not typically, though I've heard horror stories about asterina that eat particular coral.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be keeping a close eye on it!

No issue with a clam. Some of mine eat some zoos here and there. Some stars will eat clams, but not asterinas

I have noticed that mine (asterinas) seem to devour any zoos I ahve tried to keep. I have to keep them in another tank to have any success.
