About to order my plumbing for the plumbing for my tank (90 gal with 20 gal sump, skimmer/return/fugue) Sump located in stand. My question is how do i split the line so the skimmer and fuge get flow. I know i have read you run a horizontal line across the sump and make a t at the bottom of the line with ball valve. But that would require an extra 2 to 3 feet of extra flex tubing and seems very inefficient. Can someone please give me some input on how i Will accomplish this with flex tubing?

Thank you!

water drains to sump from display, goes through baffles, enters return section (if in middle) return pump has a tee on the output side, the tee feeds the dt and fuge.

I have read that it best for the fuge to get dirty water direct from the DT rather then having "cleaner" water after it has been skimmed.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Thanks for the input though, may utilize this though
