after 3 months of an empty tank my parameters are finally at 0. i just bought 2 chromis (wanted more but that's all they had) and i want to wait a week before i add anything else. my planned stock is 5 chromis, watchman goby, and an ocellaris along with a clean up crew is this too much for a 30 gal.? any other stocking ideas would be great, looking for all the info i can get. thanks

I would only add 3 chromis. Other than that, your stocklist looks good.

I wouldn't bother adding any more chromis. First, IMO, 5 would be too many for a 30 gallon tank. Secondly, they have a habit of killing each other off, until there is 1 left -- and that seems to happen with more frequency in smaller tanks.

thnx for the quick reply's. is it safe to add a clean up crew now or should i wait until the tank is a little more established?

You can add your first fish and a few snails/crabs.

how long should i wait before adding shrimp? one of the chromis is already picking on the other pretty bad...is there any other fish that could work with the ocellaris and goby in a 30 gal? coral beauty maybe? thanks for all the help this forum is great!

I think you can add a shrimp whenever you want. You could add a firefish or a 6 line wrasse but they sometimes get a little aggressive

A coral beauty can work but all angelfish are prone to nip at corals.
Might want to try a cherub angelfish.
