light fixture problem

I have a giesemann light fixture with the double ended halide bulbs. I have to wiggle one of the bulbs to make it come on. I put new bulbs in and am still haveing the same problem. Any ideas of what the problem is.

Sounds like the contacts could be loose, or maybe they have some corrosion on them.

I would remove the bulb, unplug the fixture and look at the contacts. If they are clean, see if you can bend them slightly inward to better the contact. If that won't work, you might be able to buy a new socket and swap it out, I'm not familiar with this fixture

You may also find some anti-corrosion spray at an electronics supply shop or the hardware store that would fix it right up.. assuming corrosion on the contacts is the problem.
