what kind of fish is the yellow faced one with the white body and tail and black spot on tail. did you have to teach the dragonettes to eat the roe or did they take to it right away. how nutritious is the roe

That fish actually has a light blue background. That's my pair of Oxymonacanthus longirostris.

The scooters are easy. They usually eat right away.

They have saltwater in Snoqualmie? :)

I haven't used this, any comparisons to other products I might have used? It seems like it might be a decent option for my LPS as well as a treat for fish.

If I'm not mistaken...this is what all the O.R.A. breed fish eat...

I've heard nothing but great things about it.

I'm about to order an O.R.A. Blue Mandarin and rumor has it all they eat is this...

how much do you pay for it from lfs? i'm trying to get mine to order it. pretty expensive to order online because the shipping is so high. how often would you feed it to your mandarins.

Shipping isn't high if you get it from dr foster and smith. $8.99 flat rate shipping and you could grab some other foods as well. http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=18988

broke down and bought some from dr. fosters and smith since none of my lfs could get it. got it today from fed ex and fed the tank right away. my green mandarin went crazy for the stuff. definitely worthwhile product.

My local fish store sells generic prawn eggs for $7.99 a flat pack. They had trouble getting it for over a year and then stocked up heavily on it, as have I.

All of my finicky fish, including newly introduced leopard wrasses and mandarins all go for it with gusto. My gorgs and smaller polyp corals adore the stuff.

Do any high-end supermarkets carry this type of product for their sushi?
