Hi, I want to get an Aqueon Proflex model 4 but don't know if it is big enough for a marineland 250 DD (60x36x27). Somebody told me it wasn't big enough and think he just wanted me to buy his sump can anyone help me out a little. Thanks for your time.

what are you running this tank for? There isn't really need for a filter. A nice size skimmer for the tank would do. You would need a decent size sump to place it in.

i have the same tank i did a built thread research mine, i had a custom sump made, 42x16x16 = 46.5 gallons with an external return pump. you can get a in-sump mag 18 and a protein skimmer. hope that helps you.

A large sump a 75 gallon tank would work well, a large skimmer rated around 350 gallons should work well, carbon and phos reactors.

tryin to do the a mixed reef with a lil more sps than anything. but tryin to do islands of rock with bridges from island to island so it keeps the bottom open. been running a 55 g for the past year to get use to keeping coral and finally got enough to upgrade.
