Been using aquasurf for a few years with a jr and a wavebox and loved it now I moved to a larger tank and hate looking at the box so I am going to toss three larger controllable tunze powerheads in for a more random type of flow. what kind of programing would I use for the on off feature of each pump and I see I ave 4 ports for different power heads can I control them independently?

Yes you can control them independently, you can sync them too.
One thing some over look when using the ramp up feature for the Tunze pumps you should start at 30 at the least. Other than that you should be able to do anything you like.

It hard to explain if you cant see the programming / website of the controller
Layman terms
you create a profile, in the profile you create there is a wizard
Name: R_Stream
Control Type: Pump
Synchronize Disabled
Divide by 10 Disabled
Initial off time (Seconds): 0
On time (Seconds): 3
Off time (Seconds) : 5
Minimum intensity: 30
Maximum intensity: 100
Then you have the variable speed outlet call the profile
Set R_Stream
You can also at a look at this programming here

or you can get the manual from
http://www.neptunesys.com/APEX-20104034_WEB.pdf
Should be around page 100 if I remember right.
