Proper UV STERILIZE Wattage

Question about UV STERILIZER.. what would the proper wattage be for a 50 gallon tank with a 20 to 30 gallon sump? Would it be ok to run a 75 watt sterilizer? Or doesit have to be properly sized?

i would say close to 100 watt

i think for your size, 25-40w. 75w is for 500+gal.
