2 lamp t5s or one 48" reefbrite?

Ok guys so I have a 120 gallon with softies,lps and just getting into a couple of easy sps. I have an aquatic life 4 lamp t5 fixture with ATI bulbs

Have a 260 dollar budget to a) add a two lamp aquaticlife with ATI bulbs for a total of 6 t5s for $ 188 or b) add a 48" reefbrite all white led strip module for $248

Kinda looking at the possible shimmer from the reefbrite but do not want a yellowish color to my tank

Right now my bulbs are all ATI
Blue+
aqua blue special
Blue+
aqua blue special

And will be adding one of each for 2 lamp fixture

Go with a 2 lamp fixture but don't go with a 50/50 combo like you already have.

Go with annother ATI Blue Plus and an ATI Purple Plus.

After seeing what it does for some colors, you will be ready to dump the Aquablue bulbs.

I won't even touch an Aquablue bulb when I am running T5. They wash colors out and it takes like 3 Blue Plus to try and conceal them.

That is just my opinion but the T5 manufactures need to make the Aquablue bulbs with more blue in them.

When Grim tested one, it was slightly higher than a Fiji Purple. The Fiji was used though so that will change things.

I would put the Purple Plus right around the Fiji Purple in terms of PAR.

Hey rtparty, can u suggest a 6 lamp t5 light bulbs, if u had a 6 lamp fixture which bulbs would be on it, my tank is 24" dee and corals are from middle to rear of tank........please place front /back on your bulb order

My 6 bulb is a little different than most.

ATI Purple Plus

You think it would be extra blue but it isn't bad. The Purple bulbs are quite bright and bring some nice white light into play.

I also like 4 ATI Blue Plus, 1 GE 6500k, 1 ATI Purple Plus

or

4 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI Aquablue, 1 ATI Purple Plus. This one is slightly bluer then one directly above with the GE6500k.
