Need some help with my Frag Tanks

1.4m X 0.6m X 0.25m high

On my first frag tank I have SPS and am running a 6 X 80W ATC Powermodule with 2 actinic and 4 white bulbs. I had some good colour and growth with these exact corals in my reef tank but they have all browned out in my frag tank. What height is optimal for this fixture - Am I giving them too much.little light?

My second frag tank has softies including ricordea, shrooms and zoanthids and I am running 2 X 54W Actinic bulbs in it. I am struggling to get growth out of the rics - Should I shade them more as they are in the open?

I think you have too many white t5 bulbs. When you say white do you mean daylight 6.5k or aquablue 14k? Try 4 or 5 actinic and 1-2 aquablue bulbs, might work better... A good start for t5 height is 16" from the bulb to the tip of the coral, then go up or down from there after you try it for a month or so.

Your softies tank has not enough light imo, I'd try 4 bulbs over it with 3 actinic one aquablue.

At the moment I only have two bulbs...one aqua medic actinic and an ATi special

Suspended around 18 inches above the water surface

Is this too little/much?

My rics do better under the sun so I doubt they need shading.
