At times I catch myself staring at my tank for hours. Am I obsessed or is this the normal? I feel kinda weird but just love checking out my tank. So am I obsessed? Should I seek professional help? Or is there lots of other hobbist that do the same? :bounce1:

I watch my tank more than I watch TV now! lol My husband thinks I'm weird that I can sit there and stare at it for hours. I told him it's like his video games but this is what I like. I think he got the point. I love even just watching the snails eat algae or hermits scurrying around the tank. It is just so amusing to me! so, no, I don't think you're weird :D

It only takes me a quarter turn of my desk chair to see my tank that's about 10 feet away. I can stare at it all day while not doing work. :bounce3:

Cool so spending $350 for my nice new leather chair with ottoman was a good investment! :p

I watch my tank all the time. Have you ever been excited by how much skimmate your skimmer has produced? I must be a real freak, because I was in awe with how much I had tonight!!! I'm sick! :)
I bought the comfiest leather chair and ottoman I could find, and placed in smack dab in the middle of the fish tank viewing area. I put my feet up with a cup of tea and stare at my creation!

Pretty normal!
No need for professional help. In fact , reef tanks are so relaxing you will probably save a bundle on a therapist.
See, I just gave you an excuse for spending some more money on corals!:lol2:
I have one in my family room and one in the bedroom. If I don't spend at least a couple of hours staring at the tanks collectively thru the day. I feel like I am missing something and things just are not right.

Totally normal. My whole family says I am completely obsessed. I think one of the best parts is when you get a piece of live rock and see what hitchhikers come out of it. Not so fun when its aiptasia but you take the good with the bad. Welcome to the Hobby and enjoy.
