I just setup a 90 gal reef, about 2 months ago. I used dry Marco Rock is I would not carry over any pest. NO fish have been put into this system without going in a qt for at least 4 weeks with copper, and prozi-pro. Today I noticed ICK on one of my wrasses. How is this possible?

QT should last 6 weeks at least. most pests life cycles will stop by then

It may not even be ich/ick. but I believe it has a 6 week life cycle.

Cause it's in every tank! just kidding... Maybe it came in with a coral? People usually dont transfer coral to a new mount and not many qt coral, even less qt coral for more than several weeks

I say 8 weeks for QT, but that neither here nor there. Also Prazi pro will do nothing for ick and copper levels are very hard to control at a constant level unless you test constantly. I usually use hypo for that reason. Good luck.

it may not be ick. wrasses tend to pick up sand on their skin at times.

Copper was kept at .5 at all times, and no fish ever showed ick in qt. I also was thinking maybe on a coral.
